Speculators Getting Burned

"Obviously, they were speculating and this is what happens when you speculate. Sometimes it pays off and sometimes it doesn't."

When you play with fire, what happens? Some would-be speculators have found out the hard way and are seeking the salve of the Federal Court to cut the pain. Prediction: They are going to be disappointed.

I tend to agree that the buyers were foolish in their dealings. But I also wonder if it is time to get realtors to behave in a more responsible way. There may have been fraud committed in this case, and it may be on both the buyers and sellers parts.

If I sign a contract I better know what I am signing. Although, of course, that doesn't apply to a contract signed with the city of Key West. As per Mr Bethel, a contract signed by the city is only good for the year that that commission existed. They can always unilaterally abrogate it afterwards. Who knew?
