Not This Resident

The Key West Citizen reported on Friday, September 15, 2006, in an article about the recruiting of a new city attorney, that "Truman Annex residents have sued the city again, saying the city violated its contract with them by not developing a traffic plan that makes Southard Street one-way."

Truman Annex "residents" have not sued the city at all. A bunch of the TAMPOA Board (that is currently out of control) have sued the city, without polling the residents to see if that's what real majority of residents wanted.

When reading about Truman Annex, it is important to distinguish between its residents and the TAMPOA Board. They are not the same. This resident of Truman Annex has not sued the city and does not support the actions of the TAMPOA Board in doing so. In fact many residents of Truman Annex believe the TAMPOA Board not only does not represent our views on Southard Street, but is wasting our money on such foolishness.
