The Probe Widens

Who (or what) is behind the investigation by the State Attorney's Office into the alleged illegal practices by the City in its Licensing Department? The investigation seems like much ado about much of nothing unless there is more to this than meets the dollar. We're talking about a couple of misdemeanors here. And the accused isn't going anywhere -- certainly not to jail -- except back to work.

However, the State Attorney's Office would seem to be treating the matter almost like it has become the crime of the century. A subpoena has been issued to the City from that office to look at documents requiring the signature of a building official and bearing the signature of the Assistant City Manager or any other non-licensed building official. Is this subpoena really about getting evidence to pile on additional charges against the Assistant City Manager or something else?

We think there has to be more to the event than any one is so far saying. We find it difficult to believe this is just all about the Assistant City Manager. We wonder, would the former code enforcement officer, who is also a retired cop (a detective we believe), have any incite into the whole matter? Perhaps the target is the City Manager, but so far the State's Attorney appears to be holding only duces while looking for a pair of aces that likely don't exist.

Incite is what you do, I believe that the proper word is insight.

Weren't you the one who complained about proof reading of the TAMPOA minutes? "People who live in glass houses..."

We were and for good reason. And that's why we have a helper like you who is unrestrained and will throw stones at us for any insignificant little reason to see your own inflated ego stroked. Keep up the good work of helping us get it right.

That was just an example of your hypocrisy. You are the one who is throwing stones. Don't you read your own blogs?

Tsk tsk. A little angry are we? We just hate your product, but we love your attitude. It's so easy to get you going. We've noticed that when you have nothing at all to say, except to sputter, you name call just to attack us (or perhaps anyone) personally. Must just be your style of relating.

Keep up the good work of helping us out here. We're glad to know our writing is getting through to you. At least you're fired up about something and are getting off that intellectual couch. That means we are effective. Our numbers are up thanks to you! Keep those comments coming. See you again soon!

Angry? Not at all. Just amazed at your ability to attempt to deflect your obvious biases and to speak out of both sides of your mouth with impunity. My dear, you are a real piece of work!
Why do have to explain to me why your aren't going to be at the meeting when you hardly ever show up anyway? Better you need to explain it to your few sycophants who you encourage to attend with the fortitude you fail to demonstrate.

You cover that anger well. Unfortunately it just bursts out with all your insults. We feel sorry for you. Get some help. You'll feel better and not have to lash out like you do.

Thanks for helping our numbers, though, by your comments, ugly as they are.

Oh, so it's all about the numbers, eh? Post something unreasonable, be a general gadfly, and get bigger numbers -- who cares if anything fruitful is accomplished?

Unfortunately, the ugliness you speak of comes from your lack of integrity. Your characterization of "insults" are apparently so in your eyes. I view my comments as obvious truths taken from your own comments. Maybe if you can't take the heat you should get out of the kitchen.
I guess that any one who differs with you is angry! Who knew that you were so inciteful? (p.s. Since you are a bit on the concrete side that was a pun fyi)
